St Andrews Anglican Church–Honours Board Unveiled
On ANZAC Day, 25th April 2019, the above board, donated to the Otautau Museum, was unveiled and is now on display. Many well-known Otautau area family names are represented on this board. It now forms a part of the 100 Years of WW1 display being exhibited, which will finish on Sunday 30th June, 2019.  So, be sure to come and see this display before it closes.

However, we are opening up another large Memorial on the  anniversary day of the signing of the Versailles Treaty, on 28th June, 2019, when the Museum will be open 10am-4pm to commemorate this major event. I am working hard on putting up a visual remembrance on the wall of each local person who served in WW1, as part of the display by this date, as a final commemoration to all those local men and women who dedicated themselves to serving their King and Country. If you can help with information or photos of any of your WW1 ancestors for this, please urgently contact the Collection Manager on Ph: 027-211-4675 or Email: collections.otautaumuseum@gmail.com
This includes those serving as Nurses, Medics, Cooks, Drivers or in any capacity at all. Thank you.

MUSEUM WILL BE OPEN AS USUAL DURING JUNE 2019, Sundays 2-4pm, or by other arrangement – but we are closing for winter from 1/7/2019 thru to 31/8/2019.
